The Little Fort Farm Highland Games were created to celebrate strength, tradition, and community while introducing people to the rich heritage of the Scottish Highlands.
Our inaugural Highland Games brought together athletes, families, volunteers, and spectators for a day filled with friendly competition, fellowship, and unforgettable memories. From the Braemar Stone and Caber Toss to the Weight Over Bar, visitors had the opportunity to experience events that have been part of Scottish culture for centuries.
More than just an athletic competition, the Highland Games reflect many of the values we hold dear at Little Fort Farm—hard work, perseverance, respect, and community. They provide a unique opportunity for people of all ages to gather, learn, compete, and enjoy a day on the farm.
Following the success of our first Highland Games, we're already looking forward to building on that tradition and welcoming even more athletes, families, and spectators in the years ahead.

Highlights from Our Inaugural Highland Games
The inaugural Little Fort Farm Highland Games brought together talented athletes from across the region to compete in seven traditional Scottish events, including the Braemar Stone, Open Stone, Heavy Weight for Distance, Light Weight for Distance, Caber Toss, Sheaf Toss, and Weight Over Bar. Throughout the day, competitors tested their strength, skill, and determination while spectators enjoyed an exciting atmosphere filled with friendly rivalry and Scottish tradition.
Several outstanding performances highlighted the competition, including a 40-pound Weight Over Bar cleared at 12 feet, a 33-foot Open Stone throw, a 27.5-foot Braemar Stone throw, and an impressive 24.6-foot Heavy Weight for Distance. The Caber Toss also provided one of the day's biggest attractions. While no athlete managed a perfect 12 o'clock turn, several came remarkably close, earning strong scores and keeping spectators on the edge of their seats.
Beyond the competition, the event brought together athletes, volunteers, sponsors, and families for a day celebrating strength, perseverance, sportsmanship, and community. Thanks to the incredible support of everyone involved, the first Little Fort Farm Highland Games exceeded expectations and laid the foundation for what we hope will become an annual tradition that continues to grow for years to come
